How does it work?

The process is simple, but it does come with a bit of set-up required.  Don't worry about the data sets, we take care of that for you.  You have to decide on your desired breakouts, there are potentially hundreds o them if you want!  All you do is this:
    1.    Set-up the bid
    2.    Do your on-screen take-off
    3.    Run your reports
    4.    Make your needed pricing adjustments
    5.    Create and load your breakout
    6.    Go to recap and finish your estimate
    7.    You're done!

Equipment and Specials Take-off

There are times during a bid when you have items that will not be found in our database as would be expected.  These items like plumbing fixtures, tanks, testing equipment, sterilizers, control valves, etc. need a way to be included in to the bid.

We do this with the use of Equipment and Specials Set-up.  You have the ability to set-up and use 2000 different items that you choose the options on and also have the ability to save for future take-offs if you want.

This is how we have found is the best way to include items "on the fly" and you can continue with your take-off in a matter of seconds!

Training is Critical!

Don't forget training!  At Emjay Systems, we believe in making sure you are fully trained in everything you need to know including computer estimating theory and even the basics if you are completely new to this process.

We do assume you know how to estimate, whether it is by hand or with another system, but after that we will handle the rest.  The process is simple, you purchase the systems, we give you a survey asking some detailed questions about what you do and what you needs are exactly, we have a discussion about that afterwards. 

After we have your information, we go to work putting together your system.  Once it's done, we get it to you, install it, and you're ready to go!  The final step is scheduling training and showing you how to use the system so you can start bidding work!
