Safety Reporting
What kind of Culture do you promote? As the picture says "Safety is everybody's business", so true! You can't walk on a jobsite anymore without seeing signage about safety glasses, hard hats, safety shoes and the lot, like you need to be told at this point! So the question is, what's your culture at your company? Do you walk the talk?
Well, most of us try, and here at Emjay Systems Inc., it's no exception. We take it one step further, we have tried to develop things that will help you be the safety driven company we all need to be. We have OSHA 500 and 501 Outreach Trainers on staff that help us develop our content for our applications! Take a look and let us know how we can help you! |
Safety AuditsDo you perform safety audits? of course you do! It is an OSHA requirement for compliance to inspect your projects for inefficiencies and it is your job to make sure your training has been effective!
Armed with a tablet PC you can walk your jobsite, if it's allowed and do your safety walk thru right on the screen! If you are on a site that doesn't allow it, walk the site take notes and do the electronic version in your car before you leave the site while everything is still fresh. Once done, email it off to everyone concerned and you become the most efficient safety guy or gal around! We can also add and subtract things if you'd rather have something that we did not originally include, no problem! |
Safety TrainingAlong with our other training services, we offer OHSA 10 and OSHA 30 courses for Construction and General Industry.
Are your workers covered under OSHA's card system? If not, they should be! Let's say you are working at a chemical plant site, and the construction manager or the site requires you to have OSHA 10 cards for your workers and OSHA 30 cards for your supervisors. Could you bid the job? What if it was a quick turnaround? Could you do it then? We can come in and train your workers quickly and efficiently so you don't have to worry about it! We can also, depending on the circumstances, save you money in the process in the way of fees and time spent training. Call us to find out more or check our safety training page! |
Safety Training RecordsDo you safety train your workers at the time of hire? Are you keeping good records? Do you have those records accessible in the even t of an OSHA inspection?
If not, then you might as well not waste your time because you will not be given credit for any training that you can't prove and show that you actually taught them and the understood! You must show the training date, who attended, what was taught with what materials, and the results of the testing afterwards! Most contractors try to do the right thing, they have training set-up as a standard, and they have testing and everything else, but they usually fail when it comes time to prove it! We have developed an application that works very easily, and can prove all the data needed if you happen to be asked to prove who has been trained by OSHA! |

Incident ReportingWe all are trying to avoid incidents, but in the event that you have one to report, you want to make sure you have it documented properly!
We have an application that will make your job easier in this regard. It is very easy to fill out and asks all the proper questions that you need to fill out to keep a good record. Our application will also fill out your OSHA 300 and OSHA 300a and 301 as is required by law. Then we take it one step further, we ask you to put in your company information and this application will give you a print out in a very nice summary sheet to share with your customers when they ask for your incident ratings. Our program computes all the formulas that are typical with the industry and give you an up-to-date summary sheet. This application make safety reporting much easier for those who normally would not know how to do this properly or at the very least saves time! |
JSA Daily SafetyThese daily safety planning tools sometimes go by many names but they are all the same, you must plan your day with not only what you want to get accomplished but how you're going to do it safely!
If your company is doing these then, there is always room to do it better, right? Armed with your PC Tablet you can go over the daily plan, check all the appropriate check boxes, print it out and your ready to go! Take the sheet and put in a protector or book and stage it at your work site. You can also automate your work permits, your hot work permits and anything else that is done on a daily frequency. What about lift inspections, tool inspections, confined space permits and much more. All we need to do is create your forms and store them on the cloud and they are ready to go for your workers everyday! This also works great with daily progress reports, email them off to everyone and your progress and time reporting is finished! |
Tool Box TalksMost larger construction projects these days have a requirement for weekly tool box talks. If you are not familiar, the intent is to bring your workers together into a safety meeting and have a discussion about a safety topic that applies to the type of work that you perform on a daily basis. The thinking behind this is at least once a week, you are having a specific discussion about how to do your work safely so you might be able to avert a lapse in judgment or a turn of the head and some gets hurt! |
